I'm looking for a 1000w 36v hub motor for an electric scooter. I'm not too sure if I can replace the motor itself with a dc motor as I haven't taken the current hub motor off. Does anybody know where or what I should do?
You could try replacing the brushes,if that's the problem.

I have an electric scooter max speed is 17 MPH, how can I make it faster?
Tie it to the back of a car. Anybody who would ride an electric scooter probably shouldn't go any faster than 17mph.

I'm looking to buy an electric scooter that is fairly cheap and that goes fairly fast. If anybody has any ideas, please respond.
Thanks!
Are you talking about the little scooters that you stand on, or one that's more like a moped? How fast is "fairly fast"?
Whatever you do, avoid the X-Treme scooters. They're very cheap, but for a reason. They break down frequently, have a terrible warranty, and are very hard to get repaired. I've seen countless complaints from people about these scooters.
Personally I recently bought an iMoto2 Verde scooter for $1200. It goes up to 25 mph and around 40 miles per charge, which is very good for that price. The scooters are hard to find because the company is new. Their website - http://imoto2.com/ - is still under construction. A local electric car store in my area just happened to be selling them.

Most electric mopeds cost around $2500 and have a top speed around 30 mph with a range of around 30 miles. Mine only has an 800W motor (that's why it's so much cheaper) so it doesn't accelerate as well or go very fast up hills. Most electric mopeds have 1500-3000W motors. A good place to find stores that sell electric mopeds is EV Finder.

If you're just looking for one of the little electric scooters that you stand up on, Schwinn makes some good ones, and so does Razor.

My cousin's house is about a mile down the street from mine and lot's of the time when we hang out we have a couple of beers. My son just got a new electric scooter and I was wondering if I could ride that and be safe? I have a feeling the answer is no.
P.S. Scooters are cool.
About the public intoxication. What if I wasn't drunk but just had a couple of beers. I have a drivers license and 2 cars but I would ride the scooter if I was over the limit.
Jake your calling me a girl? You may see my scooter parked outside your mom's house tomorrow night. Don't worry ill take good care of her.
Grumpy old man you say you WALK a 6 minute mile???? Have you ever seen the Comcast commercial when the put the high speed on the speed walker with the treadmill? That must be you. Do you people not understand my question. I have a couple of beers at my cousin's house and would rather not drive home. Would it be LEGAL to ride the scooter. I am not talking about being wasted but just one beer over the limit and playing it safe.
A 6 minute mile is 10 miles per hour. That is a damn good pace for an old man, especially walking.
Yes you can get a DUI for that.

I need an easy way to get to school but I am only 14. Will I have any problems with tickets if I get an electric scooter?
Depends on the Judge, Must wear a helmet, depends on the city, in California, the law is the same in the intire state but most city don't do much about it, like spitting on the sidewalk, call the police info and just ask they will tell you at no charge and they would prefer you do this anyway
so this way you get it right from the horses mouth

this is the the website it is on
http://www.razorama.com/pocket-mod.html
it is a pocket mod bistro
It sure will!…if you do it right!Get the paint appropriate for the surface. eg. wood, metal, aluminum. If you're not sure ask at the paint store.
The surface has to be cleaned first, then lightly sanded with wet sand paper.
Mask off area's NOT to be painted.
Spray a coat of primer first, let dry.
Spray on 1st coat of finish color, careful not to over-spray and cause a drip.LET DRY.
Apply 2nd coat, let dry thoroughly.3rd coat if necessary.
Finish with a couple of clear coats for sheen and protection of color. Matte(flat) or gloss.
You may want to remove tape after each coat to prevent the tape peeling the paint with it when dry.
There done! Pick a great color!!

I ordered a razor pocket mod which is a small electric scooter that goes only 12 miles per hour at the max. It has a drivers seat and is made for small children at 12 years of age and older. Would you need a licence to ride this in the US and how old would you have to be?
IF YOU PLAN TO USE IT ON THE ROADS THEN IT MUST COMPLY WITH ALL OF YOUR STATES REGULATIONS AND ALSO BE LICENSED AND INSURED.

Which characteristics you people normally looks for a mini electric scooter? Price maybe? quality? any special feature? Which kind of people do you think will buy it?
I'm trying to do a research on mini electric scooters and don't found anything about it.
I'm referring to a street-legal two-wheeled type, to transport you in small distances, maybe from the bus stop to your work building
Are you talking about the elderly assistance scooters or the street-legal two-wheeled type?
