Great! many people …
Great! many people in the city could use this and the Tesla road car and ZAPP cars are good enough for maybe 95% the population day to day driving. Not many people travel more than 200km per day to and from work and that range is easily done with current electric cars.
The Tesla goes 250miles/400km on a charge! zero to 62mph in 4.6 secs.

Last I checked, electricity is the cleanest resource available to everyone. I’m pretty certain your car is about 10000 times less efficient than even a very old power plant in regards to polution per energy produced.

It moves only a small part, the lighter more efficient electric drive train saves a lot of power.
1 horse power is 746 watts making this a 4 horsepower bike! and yet it can probably perform the same as maybe a 15 horsepower petrol.
Plus the waste heat in petrol is huge! a 4 stroke on average is only 36% efficient!
So a 15 hp petrol is using almost 3 times that power in fuel.
High efficiency electric motors are now over 90% efficient! Lighter motor means a lighter chassis to cary it too!

Yes, this is true. However much more of us in this country are dependent on our cars for transportation to anywhere - work, school, the store, etc. - Very few cities in the US have a practical mass transit system. In my area, for example (Orange County, California), yes there is a bus system. But it’s not practical for me to spend an hour and a half on a bus to get somewhere when I need to get there faster and my car can get me there in 15 minutes.

Lots of ignorant comments about America having cheap oil. Yes its not as much as Europe or some other places, but we are bigger. We travel longer distances and most of our young country is car dependent. We don’t have the transportation options other countries have, mostly because our cities are designed with cars in mind. Our fuel prices have doubled and our economy is suffering the change. Simply comparing to your heavy taxed countries is not a fair comparison.

The world is an open marketplace and oil consumption is based on supply and demand. If your country taxes high, usage will be low. Our prices in the US are going up and even now, there is 30% - 50% less recreational driving. Time for electric I say!!! Public transport, bikes as much as possible. We need cars, but not to go up the street. Some of us Americans really are spoiled, but our infrastructure is partly at fault. I’m all for action, not just talking about it. Starting with a E-scooter :)
