Does anyody know where I can buy a good, cheap electric scooter?
I'm looking to buy an electric scooter that is fairly cheap and that goes fairly fast. If anybody has any ideas, please respond.
Thanks!
Are you talking about the little scooters that you stand on, or one that's more like a moped? How fast is "fairly fast"?
Whatever you do, avoid the X-Treme scooters. They're very cheap, but for a reason. They break down frequently, have a terrible warranty, and are very hard to get repaired. I've seen countless complaints from people about these scooters.
Personally I recently bought an iMoto2 Verde scooter for $1200. It goes up to 25 mph and around 40 miles per charge, which is very good for that price. The scooters are hard to find because the company is new. Their website - http://imoto2.com/ - is still under construction. A local electric car store in my area just happened to be selling them.

Most electric mopeds cost around $2500 and have a top speed around 30 mph with a range of around 30 miles. Mine only has an 800W motor (that's why it's so much cheaper) so it doesn't accelerate as well or go very fast up hills. Most electric mopeds have 1500-3000W motors. A good place to find stores that sell electric mopeds is EV Finder.

If you're just looking for one of the little electric scooters that you stand up on, Schwinn makes some good ones, and so does Razor.
