Say good bye to gas for short trips, we did.
In Virginia, no license, no registration, no insurance, no taxes, NO GAS !!!
16 and up and an ID with DOB and thats it !
35 mph for 25 miles on a charge, cost 1/2 cent per mile for electric costs based on 7 cents per Kw hour.

We limit ours to 35 …
We limit ours to 35 if used as moped, if licensed we can restore higher accel and speeds to just under 45 with the stock motor, or we have options for 45 and 50 plus

Also, we have a GPS locater system as an option, if you bike is stolen, we can find it within 20 feet unless it is out of view of the satellites, in which case we at least still can find the nearest cell tower it is near, and we can call the bike and listen in on the thieves :)

That is true, they are clean and no mess no fumes and can be stored and operated indoors, the batteries are sealed and have no liquid to speak of in them, can’t spill and won’t vent explosive gasses when charged or discharged.

i can store this in my apartment and not worry about gas fumes killing me in a fire plus it is less likely to get stolen in the house
A couple of reasons …
A couple of reasons.
1- If it is 2 stroke, then it is heavily polluting as it is sending large amounts of partially burned oil out the exhaust, and they are noisy.
2- Maintence, our motor has one moving part, gas has a lot more, thats a lot more points of failure and maintenance items.
3- Costs, at 80 mph at 5 bucks (including oil mix) thats 6 and 1/4 cents per mile, electric costs 0 and 1/4 cents per mile, and you can charge for free at work, so even less :)

why electric scooters? gas ones barely makes any emmission plus it gets 70+ per gal
Depends on battery …
Depends on battery type (lead vs lithium), the stock silicone lead based batteries will go 15 to 20 miles at full throttle, and 35 to 45 miles in lowspeed mode at full throttle.
High speed mode for 60 volt bikes is 35 mph in VA, 40.5 mph all other states.
Low speed mode is 22 mph
High speed mode for 48 volt bikes is 28 mph.
Low speed mode is 16 mph
