What kind of electric scooter should I buy?
Looking for an electric scooter to REPLACE my commuter gas-powered vehicle. I travel approximately 40 miles a day to work, any suggestions?
Wow 40 miles is a tall order. My moped (R Martin EVD) has about a 30 mile range - I can get it higher if I go slower, but to travel 40 miles I'd have to keep the speed below 40 mph and it would take well over an hour and a half.
You'd even have to go easy on the Vectrix to get the range to 40 miles, but you could probably make the trip in 1 to 1.5 hours.
See the link below for a summary of electric vehicles (including mopeds and motorcycles).

If you are willing to plug in once you get to work you will have a lot easier time finding a scooter that will work.

Check out Zoomi Scooters online - we offer a great selection of scooters at unbeatable prices, and we actually answer out customer support phone number, unlike a lot of the other guys out there.
